CASA TOMÀ is much more than a hotel, it’s an experience – since 1998. With love and tenacity we built this little world suspended in time and we can’t wait to host you. 4 km far from Domodossola, we are located in a perfect starting place to vist Ossola and its amazing seven Valleys, like Val Vigezzo, reachable with Ferrovia Vigezzina, Val Formazza and Val Grande, you only need to choose where to begin. The ancient hamlet that hosts our hotel is pedestrian as you can relax and have a quiet stay.

CASA ASPEN

max 5 people.

Renovated as the local style, mostly using wood and stone, it faces the small piazza of the halmet. It has a small terrace with view, kitchen with gas stove and microwawe oven, living room with sofa/bed and a double room.

Events in Ossola

Festivals, events, things to see and do...

Masera is located in the centre of the Val d’Ossola, perfect to travel around the valleys, you can easily move in any direction!

Ossola is rich of folk fests, displays and places to see… Here in Masera, during the second week of September, you will find the Festa dell’Uva, a great festival based on grape and wine.

In September, in the Vigezzo valley, you can take part to the storic mondial gather of the chimmeny-sweep.

Our history

The main house, that hosts our family and some of the B&B’s rooms, was built from my grandparents. Years ago, the whole hamlet was inhabited by Tomà familys; we are the last. I was born in this house, here are my roots; meanwhile our sons travel and visit the world.

We were born in 1998…

We had the firsts hosts on Christmas, that year. We opened enthusiastic, almost as a game. Now, as much as yesterday, our enthusiasm has not changed.

The world in a hamlet!

During the years we hosted people coming from every part of the globe: cyclists, bykers, trampers, hitchhikers, turists and workers. Faces and stories now part of the hamlet.

Over 10.000 costumers!

We have estimated to have hosted more than 10.000 costumers during the years, more than 1.000 just in the last one.

Ossola and its valleys

Ossola is a very particular corner of the Piemonte region. We speak a dialet from Lombardia even if we are in Piemonte, living in a small strip of land close to the Switzerland Alps, wich we share the tops and the pastures with. Every valley is a small world, with their own history and origins: for example the walser community of Formazza, Macugnaga and Antrona.

For historic reasons the ossolan valleys haven’t been touched from the mass tourism. You can still visit pastures and natural park with a unique charm. Those valleys still product cheese, hams and salami, in a traditional way.

If you love trekking into the wild you will love the seven valleys of Ossola: Formazza, Vigezzo, Bognanco, Antigorio, Antrona, Divedro, Anzasca. Casa Tomà B&B is located at the centre of all the valleys, in a strategic position. From here you can easily reach the most interesting locations: Premia thermal area, the Vigezzo valley, the Toce waterfall, San Domenico ski area, Domobianca ski tracks, the Devero&Veglia national park, the Val Grande…
